The Cosmosil 5C18-MS packed column features a monomeric near-perfect end-capped type of C18 reversed phase material that employs an ultra-pure silica gel low in metal impurities. This column is especially effective for the separation of chelating compounds as well as both acidic and basic compounds, due to an improvement in the synthesis and end-capping efficiencies. Thus, this newest series of columns is also highly recommended for a wide range of applications particularly in situations where a polymeric-type column (i.e. COSMOSIL 5C18-AR-II) or other conventional C18 column is not as effective as expected.
